Tea boxes are convenient for storing tea and help preserve the freshness and flavor. Bredemeijer® offers an extensive collection of tea boxes in many variants.

In Bredemeijer® tea boxes, you can organize different types of tea in an orderly way, whether you use tea bags or prefer loose leaf tea. Tea boxes for tea bags come in various sizes. If you have many different types of tea, go for a 12-compartment tea box. For fewer varieties, choose a 4-compartment, 6-compartment, or 9-compartment box. There are also tea boxes with adjustable compartments to fit the size of your tea bags. For loose leaf tea enthusiasts, Bredemeijer® offers tea boxes with tins where loose tea can be stored. These tea boxes feature 4 or 6 round or square tins, which may also come with a tea scoop.

One of the main benefits of a luxury tea box with compartments is the ability to organize different types of tea. Each compartment can be used to store a specific variety, such as green tea, black tea, or herbal tea. This makes it easy to quickly find and select the tea you desire.

If you use different-sized tea bags, a tea box with flexible compartments is the perfect choice. You can adjust the compartments to fit the size of the tea bags you wish to store.

For those who love fresh tea, tea boxes for loose leaf tea are ideal. These tea boxes are equipped with tins, where loose tea can be properly stored. The tins can then be placed in the tea box, keeping everything neatly together. Additionally, we offer a variety of tea accessories that can help you brew fresh tea.

Bamboo

Bredemeijer® uses bamboo to make its tea boxes. Bamboo is a grass species that grows remarkably fast, with some types growing up to a meter per day. This rapid growth makes bamboo a renewable and sustainable resource. While cutting down trees often takes years or even decades to recover, bamboo can be harvested again within months. Bamboo generally requires much less water than traditional woods. It thrives well in various climates and does not need artificial irrigation, unlike many other crops. At the end of its life cycle, bamboo is fully biodegradable.

Preserving the quality of tea

Tea boxes are not only practical for storing tea but also protect it from external factors that can compromise its quality, such as light, air, humidity, and temperature. A must-have product for preserving the full flavor potential and aroma of tea leaves.

Exposure to direct sunlight can negatively affect the quality of tea. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation can cause chemical reactions, leading to oxidation and the breakdown of key flavor and aroma components. Therefore, store tea in a closed tea box or tin. Tea bags are often already packaged in a way that prevents light from reaching the tea.

Oxygen in the air can also contribute to the oxidation of tea leaves. When tea is exposed to air, it can degrade in flavor, color, and aroma. Always store loose tea in a well-sealed container.

Extreme temperatures can have a negative effect on tea. High temperatures can accelerate oxidation and the breakdown of the natural compounds in the tea leaves, resulting in a loss of flavor and aroma. On the other hand, low temperatures can promote the growth of mold and bacteria, which can spoil the tea. It is generally recommended to store tea in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature, before pouring it into your teacup.

Humidity is another important factor that can affect the quality of tea. Excess moisture can lead to mold growth, while too little moisture can cause the tea to dry out and lose its aroma. Therefore, it is essential to store tea in an environment with moderate humidity, ideally between 50% and 70%.
