Tasty treat for tea time: blueberry cake

 

In autumn we want our house to be warm and cosy. We drink lots of tea and have friends and family over. Are you having people over this weekend? And are you looking for a tasty treat for tea time? Try our blueberry cake!

 

Ingredients

200g blueberries • 200g self-raising flour • 100g cane sugar • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 150ml almond milk • 50 ml sunflower oil • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract • (vegan) butter • powdered sugar

 

How to make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Add the flour, cane sugar and baking powder to a mixing bowl and mix.
  3. Add the almond milk, sunflower oil and vanilla extract to another mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add the almond milk mixture to the dough and mix until a smooth batter forms. Add the blueberries and mix together.
  5. Get a baking tin with (vegan) butter and grease the sides. Then add a sheet of baking paper to the bottom.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Let cool for 30 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
