Care tips for first use
Wash the teapot with warm water and mild soap, and dry with a clean towel. Before making tea, rinse with boiling water.

Cleaning
The enamelled interior can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. Dark spots inside are caused by tea deposits and are harmless. Over time the interior turns dark brown, which improves the flavour.

Rust
Cast iron teapots may develop rust, usually around the lid and spout. To prevent this, lightly rub the exterior and rim with a cloth dipped in (olive) oil. Do not oil the inside. Store without the lid, or place a paper towel between lid and pot.
