Care tips for first use
Wash the teapot with warm water and mild soap, then dry with a clean cloth. Before making tea, rinse the teapot with boiling water.

Cleaning
The interior is enamelled and can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. Possible dark spots inside are caused by tea deposits and do not affect your health. Over time, the interior will turn completely dark brown. Tea patina even improves the flavour.

Rust
Cast iron teapots may develop rust, usually around the lid and spout. To prevent this, you can rub the outside and rim lightly with (olive) oil using a soft cloth. Do not apply oil to the inside. Store the teapot without the lid, or place a paper towel between lid and pot to prevent rust.
